SICK children and residents of care homes across the area are getting a better Christmas this year, thanks to local youngsters.
Young people from a local training company are out in force providing care packages to children and the elderly.
Halesowen-based Pilot IMS is a training company that provides the National Citizen Service (NCS) for Dudley and Sandwell.
Their teenagers are dedicating more than 100 hours to support local communities this winter.
They have set themselves the challenge of delivering 300 presents and cards to the elderly and vulnerable.
On Thursday, December 10, they were visiting the Children’s Ward at Russell’s Hall Hospital to deliver 75 selection boxes.
Next on the schedule on the Friday and the following Tuesday were care packages deliveries to the Cower Gardens and Allenbrook care homes in Halesowen.
They are also organising a new round of deliveries for local residents and are well on target to deliver over 300 packages, while following Government guidelines and coronavirus restrictions.
