THE SEARCH for new foster carers in Dudley is continuing – online.

Dudley Council’s fostering team will be hosting their second virtual information session for prospective foster carers at 6pm on Tuesday, February 16, with a further session on March 11.

The hour-long sessions are a chance for people to learn more about what fostering involves as well as busting some common myths.

People will be able to hear about the role of a foster carer, the children needing care and the skills and qualities needed to be a foster carer. It will also be a chance to meet some of the team and ask any questions.

The sessions will be hosted via Microsoft Teams and can be booked via www.fosteringindudley.org.uk

Councillor Ruth Buttery, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “Our drop-in sessions are also an easy way for people to find out more in an informal, friendly environment without making any commitment.

“Dudley fostering offers a rewarding career, with a range of fostering options, 24-hour support 365 days a year and comprehensive training and guidance.”
