Chris Legiewicz lives up to the motto: Love Where you Live.
For at the age of 72 she is still out and about on the streets of Cradley helping to keep them tidy by cleaning them up, or helping to brighten them up by planting flowers.
But she needs help from other residents who also ‘love Cradley’ – she needs money to pay for the flowers to go into 16 planters dotted around the village.
Her normal source of money from the council has dried up, so Chris has launched a fundraiser and so far is getting close to her £320 target to fill the planters with spring flowers.
But, of course, there is summer and autumn to come, so Chris, the founder of Cradley Residents Association, is hoping to go well beyond her target to keep Cradley looking brighter all year round.
She’s been saving money by getting husband Richard to make replacement planters out of old decking and painting them herself, but now needs the money to buy the primulas, pansies, begonias and petunias that she wants to fill those planters with this spring and summer.
