The design and access statement reads: "The development proposes 100 per cent affordable housing, creating 35 dwellings that respond to the local housing need and provides a mix of housing that creates a sustainable community close to an urban setting."

It goes on: "The proposals create a layout, density and mix that helps to meet the needs of existing residents and the local housing requirements, whilst encouraging the creation of a sustainable community."

It states the plan will create "a new gateway to the development at the junction where Woods Lane intersects with Cradley Road."

And that the "two new vehicular accesses off Woods Lane, serve the development creating shared surface courtyards which help to break the site up into development parcels."

It goes on "the two existing accesses located on Cradley Road are too be removed and replaced with a single point of access, creating a landscaped parking courtyard."

The proposal includes 58 parking spaces, with the two-bed homes having one space and three-beds having two.

It states that "the proposal seeks to upgrade the existing footpath and highway along Woods Lane, improving pedestrian links and movement throughout the local area."

There would be a 1.8metre high brick wall around the development.
