BLACK Country comic Jonny Cole will be going out on tour with a brand new show later this year, it was confirmed today following yesterday's news of a lockdown exit plan.

The breakfast show presenter for Black Country Radio is currently writing a 'brand new hour of songs and saftness' and will be taking the show, Bostin To Be Back, out on the road around the Black Country in October.

It will kick off in his hometown at Wednesbury 2000 on Friday October 1, with a second date at Wednesbury 2000 on Friday October 8.

Jonny will also perform at Katie Fitzgerald’s in Stourbridge on Friday October 2, Bilston Town Hall on Saturday October 9, Newhampton Arts Centre in Wolverhampton on Friday October 15 and The Court House in Dudley on Saturday October 16, with the tour coming to a close at The Glee Club in Birmingham on Friday October 22 and Cornbow Hall in Halesowen on Saturday October 23.

Tickets cost £15 and went on sale at 10am today.

The tour is being organised by Black Country comedy promoters Funny Beeseness, whose regular MC Wayne Beese will provide support to Jonny for every date.

Wednesbury-born and bred funnyman Jonny said: “It’s been really frustrating to have been off the stage for so long – but it’s going to be absolutely bostin’ to be back and I cor wait.

“I’ve been trying to keep busy during lockdown by doing plenty of writing, and I’m really excited to be going out on the road with Funny Beeseness to do a brand new hour of stand-up in October.

“I’ve always had a real loyal following of proper Black Country folk who have supported me amazingly over the years, so I hope they come out in force and get their tickets for these new shows.”

Wayne said: “Jonny has always been one of our most popular performers, he gets standing ovations and encores pretty much every time we put him on and he is always near the top of the list for acts we get the most requests for to bring back.

“We had a chat over lockdown and I know he’s been writing some good new stuff with more to come, so we’ve put a little tour together around the Black Country and we hope people will come out and support him.”

Tickets are available for all shows from website funnybeeseness.co.uk.
