A BID to build a bungalow in the garden of a Halesowen home has been turned down by planners who said it would be "cramped".
An application for the two-bedroom detached bungalow to the rear of 27, Bromsgrove Street, has been refused by Dudley Council.
Planners said: "The development would impact adversely on the amenities of no. 27 Bromsgrove Street and the future occupiers of the proposed dwelling in terms of outlook and privacy."
They also said the bungalow would be "overbearing" for properties in Glendale Close, which is at the rear of Bromsgrove Street.
They said it would be "contrived and cramped" and "out of character with its immediate surroundings."
Planners also stated that the bungalow would be "oppressive and overbearing for the existing occupiers of no.27" when viewed from their rear garden.
