AN OLDBURY dog groomer has applied to build a base in their garden.

Pearl Baniston, of Mobile Pampered Pooches, wants to build a small outbuilding in the garden at 5, Clee Road, Oldbury, to operate from three days a week.

The building would be 2.4m x 4.7metres and would be timber clad.

The application to Sandwell Council notes that: "The applicant currently has a mobile dog grooming business and is looking to create a base where she can work from home.

"The proposed outbuilding will provide a small room for dog grooming and a store room for the applicant's residential use.

"The applicant intends to work from home only three days a week, 9am till 5pm, and groom a maximum five dogs a day.

"The remainder of the week the applicant will be operating their mobile dog grooming business.

"The applicant has three parking spaces on the drive and owns only two vehicles so there will be provision for one off street parking space for when clients pick up and drop off their dogs.

"Only one dog will be groomed at a time.

"Grey water waste from grooming will be piped underground and connect to the house waste."

It goes on to say that: "Only the applicant will be carrying out the grooming and no additional staff will be employed. "
