HALESOWEN police arrested a 15-year-old boy at a bus stop for possession of a knife.
Officers had received reports that the teen was carrying weapons.
They were carrying out patrols with West Midlands Police dogs section and police dog Stavros.
Halesowen police tweeted on Thursday April 1: "Officers approached a male waiting at a bus stop who we had recent intelligence on for carrying weapons.
"Search conducted, knife seized & a 15 year old arrested for possession."
The day before officers had been searching for weapons in "high crime" areas in Halesowen North.
