A MAN from Cradley Heath has pleaded guilty to drug driving.

Vidal Tucker of Perry Park Road drove a black Vauxhall Corsa on Queensway, Halesowen whilst under the influence of drugs on September 16 last year.

On the same day he also drove a Vauxhall Astra on Queensway without insurance.

The 36-year-old was fined £200, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £135 costs.

A man from Brierley Hill also pleaded guilty to drug driving.

Waseem Wahab of Rookery Park drove a Mazda on Bromley lane, Kingswinford under the influence of cannabis and without insurance on May 4 last year.

On the same day, Wahab also drove a black Vauxhall Corsa on Queensway, Halesowen under the influence of drugs.

The 38-year-old was fined £400 and disqualified from driving for 15 months.

A man from Stourbridge was jailed for 27 weeks after assaulting five emergency workers.

Corey Bates of Breeon Road was found guilty of three assaults against emergency workers on February 17.

Bates assaulted PC Pearson- Cox and nurses Helen Ogendi and Bethany Plant on January 30 last year and was given a 15-week jail term.

The 31-year-old denied a further two charges of assault but was found guilty by magistrates at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 28.

On March 3 he assaulted NHS workers, Kelley Miller and Nicola Marsh, and was handed a further 12-week jail sentence.

Bates was also ordered to pay £75 in compensation to Ms Miller and £75 to Ms Marsh.

A man from Lower Gornal received a 12-week suspended sentence for assaulting two police officers.

Tyler Sheil of Lake Street pleaded guilty to beating PC Potts and PC Walsh on April 12.

The 20-year-old was also ordered to pay a total of £270 in compensation and £185 in costs.
