A DRIVE-in coronavirus testing centre in Dudley is moving to a new location next week.

The mobile testing unit based at Saltwells Education Centre, which has been testing people with symptoms of coronavirus, will relocate to Engine Lane in Brierley Hill from Tuesday May 18.

PCR testing at Saltwells will be operational until close of play Monday May 17 but the centre will continue to offer rapid, symptom-free testing within the main building beyond that date.

Councillor Nicolas Barlow, Dudley Council's cabinet member elect for health and adult social care, said: "We’re are continuing to support NHS test and trace with their important work.

"Anyone who is symptomatic must book a PCR test at one of the sites, even if they have been vaccinated.

"People who have no symptoms can play their part by following government guidance and continuing to have twice weekly symptom-free tests."

Testing for people with coronavirus symptoms is also available on foot in locations in Dudley, Lye and Stourbridge.
