A MAN from Rowley Regis has been jailed for a total of 20 weeks after pleading guilty to a series of thefts.

Jamie Cadby of Carlyle Road was jailed by Wolverhampton magistrates for 16 weeks after stealing items to the value of £120 from Coop in Kingswinford on June 1, then stealing more items from the shop up to the value of £50 the following day.

The 38-year-old was previously handed a suspended jail term on April 17 for three theft offences and the possession of controlled drugs, so will serve a total of 20 weeks in jail.

A man from Dudley has pleaded guilty to damaging household furniture to the value of £500.

Matthew Wozniak of Waverley Street also destroyed a book to the value of £20 belonging to West Midlands Police.

The 34-year-old was discharged conditionally for six months and ordered to pay £250 in compensation.
