AN 18-YEAR-OLD who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting in Cradley Heath has been released without charge, police have confirmed.
The teenager was arrested after a man in his 20s was shot in Upper High Street and had been released on police bail while enquiries continued.
Police confirmed this week that he has now been "released with no further action."
The shooting happened on Tuesday September 29 last year, at 10.30pm with the victim taken to hospital with arm and neck injuries.
He was in a serious but stable condition at the time.
The 18-year-old was arrested last October.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The man that was arrested in connection with the Cradley Heath shooting has been released with no further action."
