A MAN from Marbella has been ordered to pay £850 after he was found driving an Audi too fast on the motorway near Basingstoke.
David Carpenter from Ventura del mar, in Marbella, Malaga was caught speeding at 83mph on the M3 near Junction 7, Dummer on October 15 last year.
The 36-year-old was also found to have no insurance for the vehicle.
Carpenter pleaded guilty to the offences.
At a hearing at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Magistrates’ Court on May 17 he was fined £230 for speeding and £461 for not having insurance.
He was also ordered to pay £69 to fund victim services and £90 costs, totalling £850.
Carpenter was also given six points on his driving licence.
