A NEW late night swimming session is being laid on at Halesowen Leisure Centre.

The leisure centre on Pool Road will offer a new late-night swimming session for experienced swimmers on Thursday evenings from 9.15pm to 10pm from this Thursday (June 24).

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member responsible for leisure centres, said: "I’m pleased the centre is able to extend services to swimmers and gym users while continuing to adhere to covid guidance.

"As a regular user of the leisure centre, I know that customers want more options to train and swim, and the new sessions will help to meet those wishes.

"We know exercise can lead to a healthy body and mind so it’s great that our gym users can get those endorphins pumping a little longer and our experienced swimmers can make the most of a pool session just for them.

"Please remember to pre-book and adhere to all the guidelines in order to stay safe while you get active."

The Dudley Council-run centre will also be extending gym session times to 75 minutes.

Swimmers must come swim ready.

Customers should arrive and leave in their gym gear.

All sessions at the centre must be pre-booked. Members can book online and non-members must call the centre.

Social distancing and hygiene measures are in place throughout the centre.
