AN anonymous Banksy style artist who has been creating artworks on buildings around the town is being sought.

Halesowen BID want to trace the artist regarding plans for a town art project.

The elusive street artist’s work has appeared in a variety of locations across the town and has caught the eye of BID manager Vicky Rogers.

The BID want to speak to the artist in the hope that they can work together in creating future art projects.

This would not be the BID’s first collaboration with an artist; Jane Elder a local portrait painter and illustrator worked closely with the BID creating the popular set of picnic benches and planters now installed in Somers Square.

Vicky said: “We would love to speak to the artist, their work has caught our eye and we’d be delighted to have a conversation on how we can work together.

"We have a lot of exciting plans and we’re excited to see how we can collaborate with them.

“Experiential art pieces in our squares and spaces will play a huge part in making Halesowen a popular destination for visitors and therefore beneficial for our traders.

"Our aim is to provide unique spaces for our community, that’s why we’ve created our very own benches and recently installed Halesowen’s friendly bench”
