A NEW pizza place is opening in Halesowen town centre today (Wednesday).
The Pizza Legend is opening up on the High Street.
It is owned by Bassan Ahmed, who has refurbished the former Papa's Peri Peri unit.
The 32-year-old father-of-three, who used to work as a pizza chef at Anatolia's Pizza in Dixon Street, Kidderminster, said the shop is his first business.
He said: "I have spent thousands of pounds doing the shop up. It was pretty bad when I took it on.
"It's my first business. I learned the trade myself - I've got three kids - so I wanted something to pass on to them."
Bassan said he bought the shop last November and has spent around six months doing it up.
Takeaways can be ordered through Just Eat or via its website.
The shop sells Italian-style pizzas, American burgers and Turkish kebabs.
It is open from 1pm till 11pm seven days a week.
