SANDWELL Council has apologised after delays to bin collections across the borough which includes Cradley Heath, Old Hill, Rowley Regis and Oldbury.
The council said it was working to clear as many delayed bin collections as possible over the weekend.
The move comes after Serco, the firm which carries out bin rounds for the council, experienced staff shortages at the beginning of last week.
This caused delays to household waste and blue lid recycling bin collections.
The council issues a statement which read: "If the bins in your road haven’t been emptied yet, please leave them out and crews will get to them as soon as possible."
They added: "We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while crews catch up with these missed bins."
