THE 'best and worst' GP surgeries in Oldbury according to patients have been revealed as part of an annual NHS survey.
Dog Kennel Lane Surgery and Rood End Medical Practice were ranked as joint best in the town, taking the highest marks for overall experience.
Portway Family Practice on Newbury Lane scored the lowest for overall experience with 70 per cent of people saying they had a good experience.
The figures come from the NHS’s annual GP Patient Survey which reveals how Oldbury's doctors' surgeries were rated between January and March.
Residents were asked for their opinion on a variety of elements with practices, from booking appointments, waiting times, out-of-hours services and the quality of care given.

The surgery to come out on top in the rankings when it came to booking a GP appointment was Dog Kennel Lane Surgery with 88 per cent of people saying the experience was ‘good’ followed by 79 per cent of respondents at Rood End Medical Practice, answering the same.
At the opposite end of the scale in Oldbury - 44 per cent of respondents at Portway Family Practice in Newbury Lane said booking an appointment was a good experience with 22 per cent answering it was neither 'good' nor ‘poor’, 14 per cent saying it was 'fairly poor' and 20 per cent saying it was 'very poor.'
Due to lockdown brought on by the Covid pandemic, face-to-face GP appointments plummeted and were replaced with telephone and virtual consultations in most cases but GPs were told in May that they must start giving patients the chance to see them in person.
