AN Oldbury man is among five people set to appear in court charged with money laundering and theft offences.

Muhammad Nazir, aged 35, of Edinburgh Road, Oldbury, is charged with two counts of money laundering.

Saqlain Shakir, aged 44, of Riverdene Road, Ilford, is charged with two counts of money laundering and two counts of theft from person.

Muhammad Yousaf, aged 27, of Finch Road, Handsworth, is charged with one count of money laundering and two counts of theft from person.

Mohammed Mansuri, aged 42, of Shooters Close, Birmingham, and Saima Nazir, aged 39 of Waterloo Road, Smethwick, have been charged with one count of money laundering.

The charges relate to alleged fraudulent transactions at a registered charity.

All five are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday August 3).
