FOUR borough churches will be awash with blooms to help celebrate the life of an iconic woman.
Mothers Union members are to hold displays next month in honour of the legacy of Mary Sumner, who lived from 1828 to 1921 and founded the organisation.
St John’s Church in Halesowen hosts a themed festival tomorrow (Friday August 6) and Saturday August 7 from 10.30am till 4pm; St Edmund’s, Dudley has informal flower displays on Saturday, August 7 from 11am-1pm; and St Andrew’s in Netherton and St Peter’s, Darby End, have informal displays Saturday, August 7 (St Andrew’s) Sunday, August 8 (St Peter’s), both from 2pm-4.30pm.
Information will also be on hand to show Mary Sumner’s legacy in setting up the union.
Entry to them all is free, but donations are welcomed.
