A BUSY Halesowen mum-of-five has fulfilled her dream of opening a new cafe.

Jordan Porter has opened Flo's Coffee Shop on Windmill Hill in Colley Gate.

Cradley councillor Natalie Neale visited on its opening day and was impressed with the "fantastic" shop.

Natalie said: "It was so refreshing to see a new business opening after a tough year working through a pandemic.

"The council and myself are working hard to regenerate the area and new shops like this coffee shop are fantastic to see in the high street.

"I can highly recommend the Victoria sponge cake!"

Jordan, who lives with her partner and children in Furlong Lane, Halesowen, runs a micro bake shop at Central Market, Cradley Heath.

Before that she was running a bakery from a log cabin in her garden selling cakes and boxes of brownies and other treats, taking orders from people on a click and collect basis.

She decided to take the plunge and open a stall after struggling to find a job to fit in with her busy home life - and now has fulfilled her dream of opening her own cafe.

The coffee shop, named after Jordan's daughter Flo, serves homemade cakes and brownies, sandwiches and toasties.
