A MAIN Oldbury road near the M5 motorway is set to close for four weekends.
Birmingham Road will close for four weekends from 8pm on Friday to 5am on Monday while National Highways carries out maintenance work on the M5.
Sandwell Council said the road will close from Friday October 8 to Monday October 11; Friday October 15 to Monday October 18; Friday October 22 to Monday October 25 and Friday October 29 to Monday November 1.
A diversion route for traffic will be signed via Oldbury Ringway, Bromford Road (due to a low bridge HGVs will be diverted off and travel via Fountain lane, West Bromwich Street, Albion Road and Brandon Way and rejoin the main diversion at Bromford Lane), Bromford Lane, Kelvin Way, Spon Lane South, Oldbury Road and vice-versa.
