POLICE are appealing for information following a fatal motorbike crash in Nechells, Birmingham, earlier this morning (Saturday October 9).
A motorcyclist was found with serious injuries on Heartlands Parkway at just before 6.10am and the 30-year-old rider, a man, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police say they are working to establish what happened and they want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and can assist with enquiries.
Part of the road was expected to remain closed until later this afternoon while investigations continued.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has tragically lost his life and we'll be offering them support at this deeply traumatic time."
