PLANS to convert a Halesowen house into a children's home have been submitted to planners.

If the proposal gets the go ahead number 10, Mucklow Hill will be converted into a home for up to four young people who are in the care of local authorities.

The application states the youngsters, who would be up to age 18, will be supervised by up to four non-resident carers on a shift basis.

It says: "The home will provide care for residents who are subject to care orders by the relevant local authorities and will be looked after children.

"The home will accommodate residents with various needs, who for whatever reason cannot live in their natural homes.

"There will be up to four residents and up to four members of staff at the property generally, with members of staff providing 24-hour care, including sleeping at the property at night."

The home is a six-bedroom detached property which has off-road parking for up to four vehicles.

The application will be considered by Dudley Council planners.
