ORGANISERS of Halesowen Cricket Club's bonfire say ticket sales have hit record levels as spectators clamour for tickets after missing out in 2020.

Halesowen Cricket Club's annual bonfire and firework display at their Seth Somers Park ground is set to return on Friday November 5 after a one-year absence due to Covid-19.

Following the sold-out event in 2019, Halesowen Cricket Club said it is excited to hold the spectacular fireworks display again.

Club Chairman Rob Reeves said: "Tickets sales are on fire with everyone desperate to get tickets after not being able to attend a bonfire event for two years.

"We have seen a 300 per cent increase in pre-sales already, and we will likely sell out well before the day itself, so we urge people to purchase their tickets as soon as possible."

The large family funfair will also be making a return, with a wide range of rides and attractions.

Lots of food stalls, including candyfloss, toffee apple and a sweet stall, alongside burger vans serving hot food, will all be available in the ground.

New for the 2020 event sees a DJ on stage in front of the club house and the event will also have several bars serving a range of alcohol and soft drinks.
