PLANS for a builder's merchants on the site of a former Cradley Heath church have been submitted to planners.
An application for the yard on Halesowen Road with an office and storage buildings has been put to Sandwell Council.
Notes state: "The application site lies to the south-east of Old Hill town centre and is the site of a former Methodist church which has been demolished for some years."
It goes on to state that the site is on a "busy highway which links Dudley and Halesowen" and that "the applicant is desirous of providing a small builder’s yard in this location to serve local builders" adding "the new buildings comprise a small office block with covered storage to flank the sides of the site."

If given the go-ahead the plan, from Dev Dutt Tewari of Pensnett Road, Brierley Hill, would create three full-time jobs.
The application will be considered by planners.
