MEDICS and police raced to the scene after a man was found fighting for life in Cradley.
Emergency services were called yesterday (Monday October 25) at around 5.19pm to the man who was on Colley Gate at the junction of Colley Lane and Chapel House Lane.
An off duty nurse was giving him CPR when medics arrived.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man was suffering a cardiac arrest.
They said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency at the junction of Colley Lane and Chapel House Lane.
"When we arrived CPR was being done by an off-duty nurse.
"Paramedics took over and treated a man who was in a critical condition.
"He was conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital."
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midland Air Ambulance Critical Care Care were sent to the scene.
No further details have been given on the man's condition.
