THIRTY mountain bikes have been stolen from a trust which runs a Halesowen school - leading to an appeal for people to be on the lookout for bikes for sale.

The Trek Marlin Mountain bikes were stolen from Crestwood School on Bromley Lane, Kingswinford, on Friday (November 19) between 12.30am and 1am.

The devastating theft of the bikes, which belong to Invictus Education Trust which runs Leasowes High, has led the school to put out a plea on Facebook to the community.

It states: "At least five people gained access to the school grounds and stole 30 Trek Marlin Mountain Bikes.

"The bikes belong to the Trust and are used for student enrichment across our seven schools.

"If you see any of the bikes for sale or in the local area please do let us know.

"We have obviously reported the incident to the police and are assisting with enquiries, including supplying the CCTV footage we have."

Halesowen News:

They asked people to share images of the stolen bikes.

The trust runs Crestwood School, Ellowes Hall Sports College, Kinver High, Wombourne High School, Leasowes High, Pedmore High and Rufford Primary School.

Police can be contacted on 111.
