ARMED men threatened pub staff and customers with knives before taking cash in Warley.

Police are investigating after armed men raided The Dog pub in Hagley Road West.

Three men with knives threatened staff and customers, before stealing money from the tills and safe.

No-one was injured, but were left shaken, in the incident which happened at around 11.40pm on Monday November 1.

Police are appealing for information and have asked for anyone who was in the area to get in touch.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after armed men stole money from a pub in Hagley Road West, Smethwick, around 11.40pm on the night of Monday 1 November.

"Three men carrying knives threatened customers and staff and stole money from a safe and tills. Thankfully no-one was injured, but understandably left shaken."
