A HALESOWEN man has been banned from driving and fined more than £350 for being over the limit.
Richard Smith was caught driving on his own street - Bloomfield Street North - on Friday October 29 while over the drink driving limit.
The 27-year-old, of Bloomfield Street North, appeared at Dudley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday November 16 and pleaded guilty to the offence.
He was fined £370 and ordered to pay £135 costs and a victim services fund surcharge of £37.
He was also banned from driving for 17 months.
The disqualification will be reduced by 17 weeks if by 17/10/2022 the defendant satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
Court documents show he had 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
