A NEW street food business has started at Halesowen Cricket Club and has gone down a storm.

Bigmouths Kitchen Halesowen is up and running at the cricket club at Seth Somers Park, Grange Road, serving mouthwatering food including burgers, hot dogs, mac n' cheese, nachos and loaded fries.

The venue, set up by Todd Turner, has been a real hit.

It offers eat in, delivery, click and collect or takeaway.

Todd said: "It's been amazing - it's been really busy - we didn't expect it to be this busy!"

Halesowen News:

The 27-year-old, who is a trained chef, decided to go self employed to focus on private dining and wedding catering and started Bigmouths Catering last February.

However when covid hit only four out of fifty events he had booked up were able to go ahead and he had to rethink his business.

He started Bigmouths Kitchen bringing street food to people's doors from a trailer in his hometown of Kidderminster.

After looking for a permanent base Todd found Halesowen Cricket Club, which he said is an ideal venue for Bigmouths Kitchen Halesowen.

Todd said: "We use the club's kitchen - people can turn up and buy food or there is a delivery service."

He is still running his catering company alongside the street food business - and also does street food pop-ups at various venues.

Last Friday and Saturday he was staging a pop-up at the Green Duck Beer Co. in Stourbridge.

Todd hopes to open expand and open a speakeasy-style restaurant in the future.

He said: "We have got big plans."

Bigmouths Kitchen Halesowen, which has a Facebook page, is open on Thursdays from 5pm till 9pm, Fridays from 4pm till 9.30pm, Saturdays from noon till 9.30pm and Sundays from noon till 8pm.

Delivery covers three miles, covering Halesowen, Stourbridge, Lye, Cradley Heath and Dudley.
