HALESOWEN police have been stepping up patrols in Belle Vale following reports of persistent anti-social behaviour in the area.

With the support of a dog handler, Halesowen officers detained a number of men acting suspiciously in Crimmond Rise last night (Friday January 14).

Officers took to Twitter to highlight their efforts to crack down on the problem, saying: "Following reports of persistent ASB, Halesowen officers with the support of @cartmonthedog attended Crimmond Rise, Belle Vale, and detained a number of males who were acting suspiciously.

"No arrests were made and the males were given words of advice before being dispersed."
