A NEW dessert shop is set to open in Halesowen.
Iglu Desserts is set to open on Woodbury Road at Hurst Green shopping centre next month.
The former vape shop is in the process of being transformed into a shop which will sell pancakes, waffles, crepes, cookie dough, milkshakes, sundaes, doughnuts and gelato amongst other mouth-watering items.
Iglu Desserts is owned by Jag Kanda and Vish Kanda, who are cousins.
The chain already has stores in Walsall, Wolverhampton and Erdington.
Jag, aged 40, said: "The Halesowen shop will be our flagship store.
"It's a really nice area. We're doing up the shop which will be quite quirky.
"Our style is quite rustic with lots of wood on the walls.
"The local community have been popping along and asking what the shop is going to be, which is great."

The Halesowen store, which will open from 5pm till 11pm every day except Tuesday, is creating three part-time jobs.
Iglu Desserts specialises in egg-less desserts. It has social media pages and a website.
The opening date will be finalised soon, with a string of offers in the pipeline.
