A CHARITY-challenge loving Dudley councillor is getting set to step into the ring for a boxing match in aid of good causes.
Councillor Shaz Saleem, who represents Kingswinford North and Wall Heath, will be lacing up the gloves and getting into the ring on Saturday March 12.
The bout, one of several on the night, will take place at Kingswinford Academy.
Tickets, priced between £25 and £40, are on sale now and can be booked online by clicking here.
Councillor Saleem, who runs Express Taxis in Halesowen, will be raising money for suicide prevention charity for young people Papyrus UK and the Mayor of Dudley's charities for 2021/22 – the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Dudley Mind.
Councillor Anne Millward, Dudley's Mayor, said: "Councillor Saleem is certainly a lot braver than me.
"In all seriousness I’m delighted he has chosen my charities as one of the main beneficiaries for this show.
"I would urge people to support by buying tickets and going along to cheer him on."
