THE owner of a fish and chip shop which was gutted by a devastating fire has thanked the community for their support.
Penny's Fish Bar on Long Lane, is now just a shell after a fire broke out there on Wednesday January 12.
Owner Harpreet Singh said it will be totally refitted with hopes that it will be ready to reopen in around three weeks' time.

Mr Singh, who has run the shop near Shell Corner with his wife for around six years, said: "We're having to redo it all, inside it will be completely refurbished and rewired with new signs and menus.
"It's been a devastating time but we have had a lot of support and hope to be open again in around three weeks."
The shop put out a message on social media thanking the community for its support.
It stated: "We're a little lost but we want to thank everyone for their words of support and encouragement.
"We want to communicate that we'll reopen our doors as soon as possible.
"We need to continue counting on the support of all of you.
"Thank you very much and we will see you again soon."
Firefighters were called to the fish bar around 12.30pm.
One ambulance and a paramedic were also sent to the scene.
A man and a woman sustained minor injuries and were discharged.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson said the fire, which was out by 1pm, was believed to have started accidentally, in ducting linked to a frying range.
