PLANS for a new fish and chip shop on a Cradley estate have been given the thumbs up by planners.
A vacant retail unit on Fatherless Barn Crescent is set to be converted into a fish and chip shop after the plan was granted permission by planners at Dudley Council.
The proposal states that the fish and chip shop on a parade of shops would be open from 11am to 9pm Monday to Saturday.
It would also employ two full-time and four part-time staff, according to the plans.
The plan received one objection concerning the potential for rubbish and noise.
Granting permission for the scheme on March 1, the decision notice states: “The principle of the proposed use in this location is considered acceptable and would bring a vacant unit back into use. With appropriate conditions imposed, there would be no detrimental impact on residential amenity of nearby occupiers.”
