SAINSBURY'S has issued a statement after petrol pumps ran dry at its Oldbury superstore.
A sign was put up at the superstore's petrol forecourt off Oldbury Ringway on Monday (April 4), warning drivers there was no unleaded.
But Sainsbury's has reassured motorists that it was only a temporary issue and that the pumps have since been refilled and are operating as normal.
It said it is not having "major issues" at any of its sites.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: "The unleaded pumps at our Oldbury Superstore petrol filing station were temporarily closed on Monday and reopened after receiving more fuel.
"We continue to routinely monitor all our sites and we’re not seeing any major issues."
The news comes as fuel prices have risen across the country due to the price of oil rising.
