A WOMAN in her 50s has been taken to hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds in what's believed to have been a domestic incident in Rowley Regis.
Police and paramedics attended the scene in Petersfield Drive in the early hours of this morning (Friday May 13).
The woman, reported to be in her 50s, was taken to hospital for surgery. A man in his 20s was also taken to hospital.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers and MERIT trauma medics to the scene after being alerted at 6.56am by the police to the incident.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "Crews treated one woman on scene who had sustained serious injuries."
West Midlands Police said the woman "suffered multiple stab injuries during what's believed to be a domestic disturbance" and a spokesperson added: "We were called to the house just before 7am.
"A woman believed to be in her 50s was found with stab wounds and a man, aged 27, arrested on suspicion of wounding.
"The victim is in hospital for surgery. The man has also been taken to hospital for treatment."
