A DEVELOPER wants to build a "landmark" apartment block on the corner of a junction in Rowley Regis.

Lordswood construction wants to build a three storey apartment block on the corner of Tippity Green and Dudley Road, not far from the Bulls Head pub.

The firm has put in an application for planning permission to build six two-bedroom apartments at the spot.

The application states: "The proposal seeks planning permission for the regeneration of a vacant piece of land previously used for advertising hoardings on a prominent corner site."

It goes on: "There is an opportunity for a quality, high standard design for a building on a corner offering a landmark and focal point to the rear.

"The proposal would bring many benefits to the site and drastically improve the appearance of the vacant plot."

The bid states that an eight space car park would be accessed off Dudley Road and that there is "no proposed vehicle access off Tippity Green due to the closeness of the junction with Dudley Road."

Each apartment would have a contemporary open plan living kitchen/dining area, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The application will be considered by Sandwell Council planners.
