CANADIAN coffee chain Tim Hortons has revealed when it will officially open its new drive-thru restaurant in Oldbury.

The new restaurant on the Birchley Island Retail Park on Wolverhampton Road near the M5 will open next Thursday (May 26) at 7am.

The first guest in the drive-thru and restaurant queue will each win free drinks for a whole year, a prize worth a staggering £3,100.

There will also be a free breakfast meal giveaway to the first 100 customers.

The new Oldbury restaurant will be open from 6am till midnight, seven days a week.

The menu will feature best-selling items, including Timbits, Iced Capps, Freshly Baked Donuts and Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich, as well as beef burgers, hot dogs, and lattice fries.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the U.K, said: “Fans have been patiently awaiting the launch of our new restaurant in Oldbury, and so we’re delighted to be opening our doors to the public next week.

We’ve received such positive support since we first launched in the West Midlands, and we know this launch will be just as successful.

"We have some fantastic giveaways lined up and we look forward to celebrating the opening with both new and loyal customers."

There will also be a series of offers including free drinks and donuts for those who activate their Tim Hortons digital wallet.
