TEN drivers were been caught speeding by police in Halesowen at the weekend.

The motorists were on Manor Way when they were clocked flouting the limit by Halesowen Police team.

Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) conducted a speed watch operation on the busy dual carriageway on Saturday (May 21) with one driver clocked doing 65mph.

The part of the road they targeted was near Sandvik where the speed limit has recently been reduced to 40mph from 50mph.

Halesowen Police tweeted: "This evening PCSOs conducted a Speed Watch patrol on Manor Way, Halesowen.

"10 tickets are being issued, with one driver caught going 65mph."

A new toucan crossing and road markings have been installed on the road to help cyclists and pedestrians get across, as well as the speed limit being lowered.
