A 40-year-old Oldbury man has been ordered to pay back £1.5k and given a suspended jail term for stealing a handbag.
Andrew Griffin, of Hackett Court, Canal Street, admitted theft and was sentenced to six weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.
He stole a handbag and contents to the value of approximately £1.5k in Oldbury on December 24 last year.
He was ordered to pay £1.5k compensation and must comply with a curfew for 20 weeks from May 19 until October 5 between 6pm and 6am, with electronic monitoring.
The case was heard at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday May 19.
