A STRING of Halesowen College students have bagged jobs in the travel industry with some heading to the skies and sea.

Ellis Stokes-Hone has been offered a sponsored cadetship with Clyde Marie Training and will study for a degree in nautical science alongside a competency at sea qualification.

This is towards his long-term goal of becoming a captain.

Aimee Holland, Jade George, Lalit Kumar and Phariah Lewis-Leckie have all secured employment as cabin crew, Aimee, Jade and Phariah will be joining Ryanair and Lalit will be heading to the skies with Flybe.

Aaron Williamson (pictured below) has secured a job with T4 as an event steward with his first job at Glastonbury.

Karaleigh Pearson is working part time with AC Marriott, Marcus Perks will be working part time at the Black Country Living Museum and Harleen Kaur will also be working part time at Brewers Fayre.

Adam Davis, Level Three Travel, Aviation and Hospitality Course Leader at Halesowen College, said: “Congratulations to all of our students who have done so well in achieving employment in the industry.

“They have all worked extremely hard to be where they are and deserve a lot of credit.

"They are all starting a new career or getting valuable part time experience in the industry which will help them for the future.”
