A HALESOWEN choir will celebrate ten years of raising the roof at an upcoming show.

Lutley Community Voices will perform at Cornbow Hall in Halesowen town centre on Saturday June 25.

Spokeswoman Jeanette Greenway said: "Formed in 2012 by music director Margaret Jones the choir will be telling the story of their growth from small beginnings to performances at the area's major venues and virtually an 18 month break from face to face meetings during the pandemic.

"As well as favourite songs from the first ten years, there will be new repertoire in the programme, including Wellerman and Over the rainbow, which were learnt during the enforced break."

Profits from the evening will be going to Midlanders Freewheelers.

The Bloodbikes were chosen by the choir as its charity in 2019 and this is the first major concert since then. The evening will be hosted by Billy Spakemon.

Tickets for adults cost £10. Under 14s are free. The show starts at 7.30pm.
