A GIANT Union Jack painted on a Cradley Heath chip shop to mark the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday has been turning heads.
The flag on Ivan's Fish & Chips shop on Reddal Hill Road took two 14-hour shifts to paint and has had a "great reception."
It has been painted in indoor matt emulsion as it was designed to be temporary only, with the job taking 300m of masking tape and 12.5litres of paint.

The business, started by Ivan and Christine Rudge in 1957, is now run by the couple's son Warren Rudge alongside his wife Jenny, 52, and son James, aged 32.
Warren, aged 54, said the idea was his wife Jenny's, with him and his son James doing the painting.
Warren said: "The customers and passersby have appreciated the effort.
"As well as the Queen being on the throne for 70 years, the chip shop has been running for 65 years so we wanted to do something special.
"We painted it in indoor matt emulsion so as to be a temporary finish, but it's gone down so well, we think we may keep parts of it permanently."
Warren, who has worked at the chip shop since he was nine years old, said the painting was more effort than he initially expected it would be and that the two days of solid painting were hard work.
The paint will have to be removed from the shop windows to let the light back in, as there is seating inside the chip shop, which also gave away free chips on Saturday to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Warren said the shop uses sustainable fresh fish from small boats, not super trawlers and uses the same 100 year old family batter recipe.
Ivan Rudge is now age 88 and his wife Christine is 85.
