THE organisers of Halesowen Carnival said it will return this year "bigger and better than ever."

The free fun-packed day will be held on Saturday July 2 at Highfield Park on Highfield Lane in Halesowen.

There will be more than 60 stalls, fairground rides, a food and drink festival, a dog show, craft competition and inflatable slides at the popular event, which will run from noon until 8pm.

There will also be performers on three stages including popular weatherman Des Coleman and his swing group and one of social media's biggest bands Here At Last.

The event will be opened by the Mayor of Dudley councillor Sue Greenaway and Here At Last will be collecting donations for the Alzheimer's Association and next year's Halesowen Carnival.

Organiser councillor Stuart Henley said: "This year's event is going to be bigger and better than previous years.

"We have had to cancel the last couple of events due to covid and are pleased to be returning this year.

"We have three stages with entertainment on throughout the day and some great musicians.

"This year's event has been made possible by local companies sponsoring our stages.

"Huge thanks to our main event sponsors Anytime Fitness and Smart & Secure Centre who have sponsored our main stages.

"Also, a big thanks to Grays MOTs for sponsoring stage 3.

"All these local companies stepping up to bring joy to the community, please support them with your business.

"Thanks to Promarco Promotions for their continued assistance, the volunteers and all that attend the event.

"Without you it would not be possible."

Tom Fletcher, of Anytime Fitness, said: "It's a fantastic event that we are so proud to be apart of this year.

"This is not too be missed, the biggest event of the year for miles."
