WORK has started on a £3.5M development to build 26 homes in Rowley Regis.

The homes are being built on Dudley Road on the site of a the former Springfield and Brickhouse Neighbourhood Office and will bring much needed affordable housing to the area.

Developer Citizen is working with Village Partnerships on the £3,592,850 development which is set to be finished in March 2023.

It is next to Knowle Methodist Church and features 22 three and two-bedroom semis as well as a block of four two-bedroom apartments.

“It’s great that this is the first of several schemes we are working on with Village Partnerships to build affordable housing in the areas where it is needed the most.
