A 76-year-old Halesowen man has been fined for holding a mobile phone while driving.
John McCann, of Hagley Road, was convicted of driving whilst not in position to have proper control.
Court documents state he drove a Ford Transit on Thorns Road in Quarry Bank on November 22 last year while holding a mobile.
He was also driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence for that class of motor vehicle, as his licence had expired.
McCann was fined £40, ordered to pay a £34 surcharge to victim services and costs of £95 - bringing the total to £169.
Three points were added to his licence.
The case was heard at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday June 7.
