THERE will be spooky goings-on at Dudley Zoo and Castle this summer as it gets set to host an outdoor screening of the kooky classic, Ghostbusters.

The Midlands attraction is teaming up with Birmingham-based Flatpack for a return of a ‘Beware the Moon’ spectacular on Saturday, August 6.

The 11th century castle courtyard will be transformed into an open-air cinema for the special showing of the 1984 film, complete with spine-chilling special effects and mood lighting projected onto the historic castle ramparts.

DZC Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “The film is already proving popular with fans, so we urge visitors to book their tickets as soon as possible if they’d like to join us, as from past experience these events do sell out quickly.”

Tickets cost £12.50 for adults and £10 for concessions and are available from the zoo’s website or by calling 01384 215313.

Filmgoers are advised the event will go ahead whatever the weather.

Hot food and a licensed bar will be available, with guests welcome to bring their own picnic, chairs and blankets.

Previous Beware the Moon Dudley Castle events include The Bride of Frankenstein, The Lost Boys, The Blair Witch Project and Beetlejuice.
