SCHOOL pupils from across Halesowen showcased their talents in a musical event in the town centre.
Earls High, Lapal, Lutley, Halesowen C of E and Caslon Community Primaries were amongst the schools that took part in the event on Tuesday June 21.
Halesowen BID organised the showcase - part of Make Music Day - which is a huge celebration of music making around the world.
BID manager Vicky Rogers said: "We have some extraordinary talent within our local schools and contacted the music department at Earls to see if they would be interested in taking part in a town centre event.
"Music teacher Esther Hyde was excited by the concept and agreed that it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of our local talent.
"We canvassed the other local schools and soon had five schools eager to take part.
"Parents and grandparent arrived in their droves and filled Somers Square to watch the children perform.
"The 22 degree sunshine made the day even more perfect.
"We are already discussing how the day can be bigger and better next year."
